I also feel as though this book is, incertian ways, summing up the other
things that we have read. unfortunately I have been finding it very
difficult to get through because i am so revolted by the rape and incest
scenes at the very beginning and I dread what may be coming up. I am not
sure if I am oversensitive or if it is Acker's intention to do this to the
reader, which I am inclined to think that it is. but if so, why?
