I don't have any earth shattering comments, I just wanted to point out
something that I found intriguing in this book. I find it interesting to
note that, though by the end of the book I found it to be extremely
annoying and just wanted to be done with it, I've found myself since
then looking at, for example, shoelaces a bit differently. Next time
one of them snaps, I'll probably remember this book, just because it
spent so much time describing shoelaces and it seems almost so
ridiculous that it's sort of ingrained into our memories. Whether we
want it to be or not, I believe that this book will stay with us longer,
then perhaps a classic might, merely for the fact that it does dwell on
the mundane and what is so familiar to us. Even if you end up hating
the book, it's hard to deny that it has made some sort of impact,
perhaps making us think a little more about our everyday experiences,
seeing them in a new light and appreciating them a bit more.
