Regarding your comment that we adapt to technology
rather than the other way around, I must disagree. I think
that technology has, throughout the years, been a natural
response to a particular need for it in some aspect of our
lives. These needs have proved to be serious and trivial,
yet either way, the majority of the time, they precede the
technology created to fill them. Once created, this
technology may be used also to fill other needs which the
technology was not at first designed.
As far as your e-mail goes, I think there was
certainly a need for a faster means of documented
communication in the fast paced society that we live.
