All the way through White Noise I was wondering how DeLillo was going to
end it and I liked the way he did it. I thought the scene with Willie Mink
was expecially interesting. It made me wonder, though, whether Dylar or the
teevee was responsible for his increased fear of death. Willie is
obviously under the influence of the TV because he adds the random
interjections that the TV does throughout the book and this made me wonder
if watching TV and thus not living life to the fullest was responsible for
a fear of death. Just wondering if anyone else got this impression.
