I really admired "The Abandoned Cathedral," I think you've
really done a fabulous job. I liked the "random/overlooked
events? idea too, but I think you've pulleed off an excellent
and dramatic switch.

The only technical problem I experienced was when, in several
instances, text was covered up with images. I don't know if it
was supposed to be that way (information purposely obscured
from the user?) or if it's under construction, or if I was
doing something wrong. But that's really the only thing I can
think of that disrupted the flow of the project, which was
otherwise steadily intriguing and visually wonderful. You've
successfully created an overall mood that effectively,
beautifully complements the subject and goals of the piece.

I also applaud the way you handled this blending of theme
with presentation. You've done this in a way that really uses
the resources of the medium, which seems to come up as a
problem with creative/academic type efforts done in the web
environment. The "ghost stories" are presented in something
like live action; that is, it's as if the user is in a
horror/fantasy movie or game. But it's not just a game, or just
art/entertainment, and that workd well.

Along the same lines (and again, this is probably a little
premature) I'd like a little more of what comes on the
"Salvation" page (by the way, I really liked the fact that the
user is damned if they don't thoroughly explore the project!).
For instance, which five cultures, and also where are the
pictures from (they're gorgeous?) Maybe this is there, I
couldn't find it when I went back to check as I couldn't find
the path to Salvation a second time (but I was rushing through).
I'm also wondering if the red page I saw is the only non
grey/black/white page - and if so, is there a reason?

Overall, this is a fabulous project.
