The solution, for reasons to arcane to explain here, was to create links
from our class's public_html directory to the userid-named subdirectories
in that previous class's public_html directory. What this means is that
neither I nor the creators of those pages have to go in and edit a bunch
of URLs; what it means for you is that you will see a lot more
subdirectories when you cd into public_html to get to your own
directory. Ignore them and fear not: it won't affect your ability to do
what you need to do. I would ask, for obvious reasons, that you refrain
from going into those directories and tinkering with their stuff, however.
So, read away--they have some interesting projects.
