The design of the forms is really up to you all. I would be glad
to help in creating those pages. The function and output (what
the screen shows the user after the form or search is completed
and what the script does) falls entirely on my shoulders. Thus,
I need to not only code in what the script does, but the HTML
that the script will generate to show the user through Netscape
or whatever browser. The time that it will take for me to write
these scripts greatly depends on the complexity that each group
needs. I would be extremely unhappy if everyone decides the
week before the projects are due to finally tell me what you all
need.
Keep in mind, programming web pages does not only include forms
and search engines, but things such as navigation bars (see
ITCweb for an example with its little green ball things that let
the user do things like return to the home page at the top and
bottom of each page), counters for the number of times that the
page was accessed, and what are called server-side include parts
of code (where all pages get something, like a background, from a
common source, making changing the background on all pages
extremely easy).
Time is running out and I need to know by next week some
specifics. Please discuss your needs with your group and your
organizations and have what you need ready for me by next Friday.
