I've written to the ITC folks to ask them to put pueblo (the best windows
MOO client) on the Wilson 308 machines; we'll see what happens. Meanwhile,
if you want to get your own client, you can find the Pueblo client (via your
web browser) at http://www.chaco.com/pueblo/ -- it is available for windows
3.1, windows95, and windowsNT. If you need a plain DOS client or a Mac or
Unix one, you'll find some on the IATH anonymous ftp site: from the DOS or
Unix command line,
ftp jefferson.village.virginia.edu
[when you connect and get the login prompt...]
login: anonymous
password: youremail@virginia.edu
bin [to make the transfer binary]
cd pub/software/moo [mind the direction of those slashes]
cd pc [or mac or unix, depending on what platform you want]
ls [to see the files available]
get [filename for the file you want]
quit [to log out]
For unix users, Tinyfugue is probably the easiest to use and set up; if
you're an emacs user, though, and/or if you're interested in MOO
programming, I would recommend the emacs-based client.
