My name, once again, is Todd Pontius, third year english major
woof woof woof blah blah blah...
I've been mulling over what role I would like to play in my
group and...
I haven't really reached a decision.
I probably have the most experience in the _graphics design_
department sinceI've done page layout for desktop publishing
using Quark Xpress and Adobe Photoshop for about two years or
so. I know how to convert JPEGs to GIFs and all that, and
I know a few tricks with Photoshop too. And, as I
mentioned earlier, I just bought a new PowerMac 8500 and I'm
going to get a scanner for it ASAICAI (As Soon As I Can Afford
It) so I _got the tools_ in a manner of speaking. I also have
access to a room here on grounds (COUP) with four (4) networked
PowerMacs and a _nice scanner. I've actually even daydreamed about going
to art school to get a degree in graphic design...
In all honesty though, I'd probably be happy wherever you wanna
stick me in the group. I know the teenseyest tiniest bit of HTML, but
that's it; no C, no C++, no PERL, no JAVA, only the barest minimum
of UNIX... heck, I can't even really use DOS anymore.
I was so bad at BASIC in high school that those ten page
programs you used to get in BYTE magazine and type in
to Radio Shack TRS-80's never worked for me. And hey! Nobody
gets to learn if they don't do the stuff, so...
I haven't reached a decision on which org to design a
page for either, but I think that the Region 10 page _really_ needs
an overhaul, especially from a site design standpoint.
Cluttered, confusing, not very exciting... whew! You
other guys chekkit out as well.
Sorry about not responding sooner.
