Techniques of Persuasive Communication: Old Wisdom in a New Package
Information science and technology professionals
should be familiar with all the important laws of
communication, and our old friend Phil Yaffe has
devised an important new one which he modestly
calls Yaffe's Law: "If you give people what they
want first, then they are likely to accept
anything else you want them to have. If you give
them what you want first, chances are they won't accept anything at all."
