Subject: Dictionary of Words in the Wild
Dear colleagues,
I would like to invite you all to check out the updated version of
the Dictionary of Words in the Wild:
http://tapor1-dev.mcmaster.ca/~dictwordwild/
For those who haven't come across it, the Dictionary is a social
image site where users can upload images of public (wild) textuality
which can then be accessed through a dictionary interface, search, or
API. Thanks to participants like Willard McCarty we now have over
3000 unique words in over 2000 images.
We now have some new features:
1. Registered users can comment on the images of words uploaded.
2. For those who are interested we have a statistics page where you
can generate statistics.
I encourage all of you with digital cameras and an interest in the
words around you to participate.
Yours,
Geoffrey Rockwell
