Willard,

I've been following Andrew Keen as well. I thought I'd share two debates via
my del.icio.us bookmarks. One is by David Weinberger that is especially good.

Your readers are also welcome to share in any other of my links. I have a few
related to philosophy, the humanities and others that may be of use -- although
I appreciate the potential for information overload via social bookmarking
tools.

Ryan. . .

hello -

I am a newby just joining this list. At the invitation of the list owner,
I'm throwing something out for your consideration.

I just blogged a fascinating paper by the sociologist Andrew Abbott
of the univ of chicago called The Traditional Future, which discusses
the nature of library-based research, and the ramifications for its
conduct and results of the growing dominance of large repositories
of digitized texts. I amplify those themes somewhat, as they are of
great concern to me. any comments here, or on the blog, are much
appreciated.
