Willard,
How about the York workshop on this page:
http://www.hiraeth.com/conf/HCI-arts-humanities-2003/ which is reported
on by 2 people:
Humanities and Arts Research Agenda brings together HCI Enthusiasts at:
http://www.usabilitynews.com/news/article1235.asp
The Feature: The Art of Blending Humanities and HCI at:
http://www.usabilitynews.com/news/article1234.asp
Or there's this amusing little number that I came across the other day:
Dougherty, Mark. "What Has Literature to Offer Computer Science?" human
it 7.1(2004): 74-91 available at:
http://www.hb.se/bhs/ith/1-7/md.pdf
Is that the sort of material you were looking for?

Subject: CS and humanities computing?
I am making a list of the events and publications devoted to the
relationship between humanities computing (or the humanities generally)
and computer science -- specifically about actual or possible
relationships between the disciplinary fields, including speculations
about or definitions of a "humanities computer science" (or equivalent
terms in other languages). Pointers to any you might know of would be
very gratefully received.
Many thanks.
Yours,
WM
