The Perseus Garner: Early Modern Resources in the Late Modern Age

    Clifford E. Wulfman
    Editor for Literature in English
    Perseus Project, Tufts University

    5:30 pm, Wednesday, March 12
STG Conference Room, Grad Center, Tower E

This talk presents the Perseus Garner, a digital archive of materials
from and pertaining to the early modern period. I describe
features of the collection and the tools it provides, and raise
questions about the utility of resources like the Perseus Garner for
    various kinds of literary research.

Clifford Wulfman earned his Master's Degree in Computer Science at
the University of Pennsylvania in 1985 and worked for many years with
the Medical Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence group at
Stanford University before returning to Yale and completing his Ph.D.
in English in 2000. He has written on psychoanalysis and Modernism,
Virginia Woolf, and Willliam Faulkner, as well as on topics in
    humanities computing.
