Humanists may be interested in the introductory publication of the American
Association for Artificial Intelligence, AI Topics
http://www.aaai.org/AITopics/. The design is pure Fisher-Price, but the
content, as far as I have been able to check it out, is solid if
elementary. *Someone* -- authorship seems not to be attributed -- has been
thinking hard about how to reach the public at large.

Those who publish online may wish to reflect on how, without the kind of
aggressive marketing we tend to shun, such a Web-site would reach the
    public.

    Yours,
    WM
