    Willard,

    I have had the opportunity recently to participate in an exchange
    regarding the development of a content model. The exchange occurred in a
    language other than English. I found myself reaching for a term that
    roughly translates back into English as "framing" while I was trying to
    explain the concept of "nesting" elements.

    I now wonder if you or others might care to comment on the shift in
    metaphor or contribute other cross-linguistic examples of such shifts.

    There is an other term that has intrigued me: "looping".
