    Dear colleague,

    I'd like to invite you to join us at MOSAIC 2000, the Millennial Open
    Symposium on the Arts and Interdisciplinary Computing, which will take
    place August 21-24 at the University of Washington in Seattle. This
    conference will bring together a community of artists, mathematicians,
    poets, musicians, and computer scientists to explore the opportunities
    at the intersection of these fields. We're looking forward to four days
    of inspiration, creativity, and collaboration!

    MOSAIC will feature a series of invited talks by artists and researchers
    from around the world, presentations of refereed papers, hands-on
    workshops, evening receptions, and more. There will also be a display
    area exhibiting personal and commercial visual art, sculpture, puzzles,
    and other objects of interest.

    You can find complete information about the conference, including a
    tentative schedule, at

           <http://www.cs.washington.edu/mosaic2000/>

    Please note that the deadline for early registration is July 15. Also, the
    number of registrations is limited to about 200 and will be filled on a
    first-come-first-served basis.

    We hope you can join us for this enlightening and energizing experience!
