It figures extensively in A S Byatt's Victorian literary pastiche novel
_Possession_ (? c. 1990), including a poem on the subject by the female
lead, whose name I can't remember.

Oh Good! Class War. I'm looking forward to it. I am still a good shot, and I
haven't killed anyone in over thirty years. I will enjoy being on the Right
side of the barricades.

Speaking of contracts, there was a news item in the NYTimes a week or so
ago, about a Professor of Psychology, at top of profession, president of a
section of APA, for education (?), who is suing. For why? They agree that
though he has tenure, and is listed as Faculty, they also ask, Where is it
written that salary is linked to tenure? They are not, in short, paying
him. It didnt say if he was continuing to teach. The wedge is in, in this
case, and the maul is swinging. Ah, lawyers! What was it Shax's character
says in some play?
