Subject: hiatus

Dear Colleagues,

Do not adjust your set. Humanist has in effect been offline for the
last few days due to technical problems at this end. These have made
it impossible for me to dial in from home and so to turn to Humanist
at the accustomed hour. The same problem has interfered with
distribution of timely information, for which I apologise -- again on
behalf of inanimate equipment that knows no better because it knows
not at all.

Yours,
WM
