Subject: corporate support of humanities computing?

A colleague recently asked me to what extent humanities computing has been
successful in attracting support or partnerships from the corporate world in
the last few years. I would appreciate hearing of any such relationships and
would welcome comment on the experience. Many of our colleagues appear to
think that the danger of academic goals being corrupted by such support is
very real. Has this proven to be the case in practice?

Thanks for any information.
