I did find an info source on the lottery. With a FAX phone, dial
202-647-3000. Listen for instructions and choose code #1038.
A two page info sheet will be faxed to you, detailing specifications
for applying to the green card lottery (Feb 12-Mar 12). There
are country limits for who may apply; there is no fee for applying
and no charge for the FAXed info. Malcolm

An addenda: there is a short form of the application instructions
at FAX number 202-647-3000, code #1103 (this is the 2 page form,
the other is longer--12 pages). The lottery is not open to residents
of the UK (except Northern Ireland), Canada, Mexico, China, India,
and several other countries; it is, however, open to most other
places, with restrictions on the numbers of places by region.
