Subject: Web pages in lieu of final papers

I've been having students in my Literature and Culture of Twentieth
Century America class develop web pages in lieu of traditional final
papers. Their web pages are supposed to have have something to do with
the construction of technology at the beginning and ending of the
twentieth century, but I have defined "something to do with" very
broadly. Humanist members might be interested in checking out some of
the results at:

Most of these pages would benefit from a spell-checker and some might
suffer at the hands of a copyright lawyer, but they strike me as a
pretty neat indication of the potential for incorporating the web into
courses.
