Can anyone give us any information concerning the use of the
International Phonetic ALphabet on the World Wide Web.

We know that the Roman alphabet with diacritics can be represented using
SGML entity references (e.g., acute a = &aacute;) under Netscape 1.1.

But that's as far as we've gotten.
