[1] Subject: bad old addresses & subscription blues
From: mccarty@phoenix.Princeton.EDU

Dear Humanists:

We are about to expunge all old addresses that no longer work. If you know
someone who is expecting to get Humanist and isn't, please tell him or her
to resubscribe. Instructions on how to do this are given on the Humanist
homepage. At the moment these ask for name, address, etc., and a
biographical statement, sent as of old in the form of plain text. Very soon
we will be installing a subscription service consisting of several web forms
to be filled in. Between now and the end of this year we will be asking for
everyone to resubscribe so as to update the old information, which for some
of you (not to put too fine a point on it) is very old indeed.

Please feel free to circulate news of Humanist wherever you think it might
be welcome.

Thank you for your continuing patience.
