I correspond fairly regularly with book dealers in the US and in
Europe who have Compuserve accounts and have had no problem using
addresses of the form xxx.xxxx@compuserve.com. Perhaps the
problem is with your local mailer or with the server that looks
up ip addresses. Check with your local computer folks first.
