Well, I know who Vardis Fisher was, but then I live in Idaho so maybe
that's cheating. The questions about cocktails and the Green Bay
Packers dates this exam to the 1960s, probably later rather than
earlier.

Is the writer really serious that such questions were (or are)
administered to those who wish to become citizens? They read like
questions from a game show.
