Subject: Memex and Analog Machines

With regard to the book about Memex and Hypertext, the comment was made
that computers do not use the analog technology. I just read recently
(but can't remember where) that two or three neural network architectures
have been developed which are analog devices. The attempt was to emulate
the human brain (which after all is what neural devices are supposed to be
doing).
