Thanks for these exmaples, Peter, though I think they will be unconvincing to those not already persuaded. They are all whole page images, and the fact that they interrupt the text flow is just a consequence of the pagination. The
doesn't logically have to appear at that point at all. More convincing would be an example where a
was actually a *part* of the thing it appeared inside, such as a heading or trailer containing a figure. That said, however, I think there's a plausible enough case to be made for making
