I'd also have to see what time I have available, since I've just a week ago become a proud daddy! However, I'd be more than happy to offer my thoughts, suggestions, etc. on whatever revisions or additions others might come up with and participate as time allows. > On the other hand, I should warn you that after the large effort in > getting P5 to completion, I think the Council is hoping to devote more > of its efforts to outreach and training activities than to fundamental > changes or expansions in the Guidelines. I'm not keen to submit my own name, but if your electoral procedures allow otherwise and if chosen, I'd be happy to do my best to serve to the extent I could. However, I am living in China, and without much ability to travel freely, so I'm not sure how that would work out anyhow if that were to happen. By the way, I came up with one other small section to add since my original submissions (if my understanding below of how @rend, etc. would work on is not correct, I still think the issue it raises still ought to be addressed): ------------------------------------------- One exception to @rend, @rendition (or their absence) indicating original formatting is that within a tag. The addition of a @rend within (or ) would apply to an intended output formatting, rather than to the original formatting as it normally does. The TimesThe Times</corr></choice> Likewise, especially if the default rendering of <title> were specified by a <tagUsage> and <rendition> element (here to indicate a title as being by default in italic), the <emph>absence</emph> of @rend or @rendition would still imply a change of formatting: <choice><sic><title level="j" rend="noitalic">The TimesThe Times</corr></choice> warm regards, Brett ----- End of forwarded message from Brett Zamir <brettz9@yahoo.com> -----
